Dominican Republic Resorts All Inclusive

Puerto Plata is another major tourist destination in the Dominican Republic, located in the northern part of the island. This region has many all inclusive resorts, most of them are close to beaches such as Playa Dorada, surfers and windsurfers want.

The Dominican Republic shares the island of much larger Spanish with its neighbor Haiti and has a population of about 10 million. It is the capital city, Santo Domingo is home to 3.2 million people and is in the countries south of the central coast. Santo Domingo was founded in 1496 and is the oldest continuously inhabited European settlement in America and is also home to the first cathedral built in America too.

Tourism accounts for 14% of the nation in employment and is a major contributor to economic growth in the Dominican Republic as tourism offers one of the seven jobs. The Dominican Republic is now the main holiday destination in the Caribbean. The Dominican currency is the peso, however, both in U.S. dollars and Euros are accepted in most places of interest that make it a popular choice for American and European travelers. The main language is Spanish, but many of the sights are more than their fair share of English speakers.

Other activities include water sports such as ski diving, windsurfing and water and lower water bird watching, hiking, boat trips and more. The vast majority of Dominican Republic villas for rent around the city of Punta Cuna has a large private pool, Jacuzzi and plenty of outdoor space. Other facilities are usually within walking distance, such as golf, water sports and places to eat and drink.

What about everyone else in the world? Those who do not have the million dollar bank accounts. They are only going to jail for third-rate destinations save a few bucks? No, of course not! You can find plenty of cheap beach vacation in a Caribbean destination that has arguably the most beautiful beaches in Aruba, St. Barts, Anguilla and together!

The Dominican Republic is immersed in the culture and history.
